Most Goldendoodle dogs are low shedding, however, dog breeders can not guarantee how much or how little their puppies and dogs will shed. It has been our personal experience, however, that our doodle dogs do work out for a good majority of those who suffer from mild allergies, but dog breeders should never claim their Goldendoodles or Labradoodles, regardless of generation, are non shedding, hypoallergenic dogs because it simply is not true. We personally contacted up to six canine genetic laboratories in 2006 inquiring about testing Goldendoodle coat hairs to validate the claim of non shedding or of being "hypoallergenic". We were told that there was no such test available to provide this information to us. We highly advise those with allergies to first consult their allergist before buying a canine of any breed if shedding and allergies are an issue. The Goldendoodle dog comes in all colors and sizes. Unlike purebred dogs, the doodle dog does not fall into particular size categories such as TOY, MINIATURE, STANDARD OR GIANT. Goldendoodles can NOT be AKC registered, which means they CAN NOT be registered with the American Kennel Club. Our Goldendoodles, however, are registered hybrids with extensive Championship pedigrees with UKCI (Universal Kennel Club).We are the first breeder to register the Goldendoodle dog in the United States.
