Lilly and Pierre's last female offspring left on Feb. 4th, 2006 to live in Virginia.  Cute Susan and Ariel forced their parents to make the trip to get their special little doodle pup! (just kidding!) It was a delight to meet the Mister family and if Susan and Ariel change their names..again....
let me know!  We'll keep their names and photos updated!

Thank you very much for making that long drive! We know this beautiful doodle girl will make your family very happy.
Chloe, a goldendoodle by Lake Ridge
On 2-10-06 we received the following email:

Hi Dee!

I hope this email reaches you.

I wanted you to know that we named the puppy Chloe. Chloe is from Pierre and Lilly's litter born October 30, 2005. She has been a perfect puppy. We took her to the vet the day after we got home with her and she is healthy. She weighed 15 pounds. She is their first goldendoodle patient.

Chloe is sleeping through the night and is making great potty training progress. She is really smart!

If you have any pictures of her siblings I would love to see them. It will be fun to watch them grow. :)

Thanks!!
Nicki Mister
Hi Nicki!  Thanks so much for getting back to me!  Well, this Chloe makes our fourth doodle named "Chloe"...so, I hope I don't get them confused when photos come in!haha
I am glad to hear all is great and we look forward in watching her grow with your family!
Hugs to "Susan" and "Ariel"!!!  You'll have to go to our other "2005" past doodle pages to see her siblings, if they are on there.  That is why we ask for people to tell us who the parents are and their birthday so that it helps others who have a pup from the same litter watch the siblings grow.....thanks for keeping in touch!

Keep us posted as he grows and thank you for joining our doodle family!
On 2-15-06,  we received the following email:

Hi
Had to send you a note to say what a fabulous web site you provide to everyone!  As a proud mom of a 14 week Golden Doodle, Noodles (and a 3 1/2 year Golden Retriever and 18 year old Quaker parrot) - I am writing to say thank you for providing such a wealth of information about the breed! I knew nothing about the breed before Noodles joined us at home so I am learning as I go along. He was an unplanned but very wanted adoption. I found your page about the coat changes fascinating. My husband and I are currently playing the coat game now in an attempt to figure out if Noodles will be more poodle like or more Golden like. I guess time will tell.  In the meantime, we are completely enjoying his very strong, yet playful personality.  I see why you are so devoted to the breed.

Regards,
Elissa

Dear Elissa,
Thanks so much for the email and the lovely photos of Noodle.  She is precious and so cute!  She could pass for one of our own.  I believe Noodles will have a nice, long and very thick shaggy coat with many waves in it.
Thank you for visiting our Goldendoodle WORLD !
Our doodle planet is The place for Goldendoodle owners to share their photos of purchased doodle dogs, comments and stories and a terrific place to locate a quality, beautiful, low shedding, first generation Goldendoodle puppy!   Our website is a place where PEOPLE KNOW TO GO TO KNOW FOR FREE!!!!!! We are  doodle owner recommended and advertise  on numerous  Doodle breeder's lists across the net,  many doodle hybrid  and other canine resources.  We have been a professional canine breeder for  12  years as of Jan. 2008!  The Goldendoodle gets its name from its mixed heritage .... golden retriever and poodle.  The Poodle  and Golden Retriever parent can be of any size.  Goldendoodles are a hybrid dog, a first generation cross.  We DO NOT create back-bred or inbred Goldendoodles. Some breeders claim "Hybrid vigor" with hybrids but  Hybrid vigor has not been scientifically proven and is thus the personal opinion shared by many Poodle hybrid breeders. This  hybrid cross which is between  two purebred dogs of different breeds such as the Poodle and the Golden Retriever  are very  family oriented dogs, friendly, intelligent, loving, cuddly and very affectionate. The Goldendoodle is  easy to train just like the highly intelligent Golden Retriever.   You will find  our Goldendoodle site the largest, most comprehensive, informative  and extensive doodle site on the net.  Our DOODLE PLANET provides information regarding the shedding, coat phases of a Goldendoodle.  The Goldendoodle is a low shedding dog and does work out well for many who have allergies.  The goldendoodle, however, is NOT a hypo-allergenic dog regardless of how many people desire to believe this.  Goldendoodles come in all sizes and colors. Goldendoodles can have blue, green, amber or brown eyes.  All Goldendoodle adult dogs sport a very thick, facial beard.  There are no "rare" markings or colors  for a Goldendoodle.  A doodle dog's coat is generally very thick, shaggy and wavey as an adult.  Some doodles sport loose curls in their coat. A Goldendoodle should not have a flat or tight curly coat as an adult.  Their tail, when not docked,  rides high above the back and is curled over at the tip.   Some doodles sport long ears and some doodles sport ears that are short but flip over at the tips.  Despite the fact many breeders claim   they breed "Miniature Goldendoodles",  the Kennel standard for a Miniature sized dog is NOT to stand over 15" in height from the highest point of the shoulders and they should not weigh over 25 pounds as an adult.  Kennel Standards do apply to ALL MINIATURE SIZED DOGS REGARDLESS OF BREED.  Any dog weighing over twenty five pounds as an adult is not considered to be a Miniature sized dog.  The size of the Poodle does not define the size of goldendoodle offspring.  The Goldendoodle's entire lineage plays 100% in the genetic make up of a Goldendoodle. The Goldendoodle hybrid does NOT fall into size categories such as "Miniature",  "Toy", "Standard" or "Giant" like purebred dogs.  Such terms are merely "breeder" terms and not Kennel Club terms.  Yes!!!  Goldendoodles are a Kennel Club, registered hybrid.  However,  they are NOT a recognized breed by the American Kennel Club because they are not purebred dogs.  They are hybrids and can be registered with many Kennel clubs that register purebreds and hybrids alike.

Happy Birthday Quintin!
On 3-05-06 we said good-bye to one of Jayda and Pierre's beautiful dark apricot Goldendoodle boys!  Quint's birthday is  on 3-9-05 and this lovely boy is his birthday gift from his parents!  Caroline was smitten too by "Brody's" super sweet and laid back temperament!  Okay Quint and Caroline...take good care of Brody and keep us posted with photos and news as he grows!

On 3-5-06,  we received more great photos of Jack and his "cousins" and the following email:

Hi Dee!  I sent you a picture of Jack a few weeks ago but I wasn't
sure if you received it!  It's not on the web site.  Here are 2 new
ones!

First, an update...Jack is amazing!  We love him so much.  He is from
Sara and Pierre's litter (6/26/05) so he just turned 8 months and
weighs a whopping 60 lbs!  He's huge!  He is the most lovable and
friendly dog!  He has the best time with all of my kids friends and
all the other dogs in the neighborhood.  He has two "best" friends...
Charlie, who is a week younger  (born 7/4/05) and Shaggy who is about a year older(born 7/26/04, I think)!  Charlie belongs to the Kopelson family and Shaggy belongs to the Cahn family!  It's a "doodle" party when everyone gets together.

The pictures I sent are of Jack in the snow and Jack with Shaggy and
Charlie (that was a hard one to take!!!).  Boy does he love to play
in it!  He had a blast with our younger daughter!

Thanks for an amazing dog.....

Basset Hound puppy by Lake Ridge
We had alot of people interested in this beautiful, red and white male Basset hound that only weighed ounces at birth!  However...there is only ONE person who needed  to have him be a part of their lives and it was Ginny Singleton and her family.
Ginny lost her older Basset Hound to old age and I know, this boy was meant just for her!   On 3-5-06, Ginny sent us the following lovely photo and email:

Winston...a Lake Ridge Basset Hound
Hi Dee,
I just wanted to thank you for a great puppy!  We named him Winston, and he has settled in very well with us.  He has slept all night the last two nights, and his first doctor's appointment is Tuesday morning.  He loves his fenced yard and, you're right, he loves attention, and he gets it during all waking hours.  My daughter is in love with him as well, and already misses him, and she doesn't leave for college until August!  He rode extremely well in the crate during the trip home, and he is already very loved in this family.  Thanks again.
Ginny Singleton
Are you my new daddy??? A lake ridge basset hound with his new owner
Dear Ginny,
I am so glad that Winston could fulfill your life with happiness and joy once again.  I personally know how hard it is to lose a canine that has a special place in your heart and believe me....it's difficult.  But the hardest part is being without that unconditional love and gratitude for all that you do for your canine friend.
We are glad that Winston is able to complete your life once again and to refill your home with canine love.  We are deeply saddened by your loss of your past canine friend, and we know he can never be completely replaced...but know that your canine friend is simply delighted that Winston could come into your lives and make you whole again.

Keep us posted as he grows! He has a special place in our hearts too!  You see, Winston (Your winston) was only ounces when he was born.  We have him a 50/50 chance at survival. We hand raised him, bottle fed him and eventually had our Tiny toy poodle raise him because he was so small, we feared his mother would accidentally lay on him and smother him.  We watched him grow from ounces to what he is today....a simply superb Chestnut red and white beauty who loves to love!

Dee
Dee,

I checked out the website!  Cute picture.  I promise to send more!  The kids will be excited to see it!

Thanks for the info about the pups getting along.  Cricket is barely 4 and still has a lot of puppy in her.  She is dying to play with him, his nips are just too hard.  Sharp teeth!  They will be fine soon, no doubt.  By the way, Brody has had an AWESOME day today...really getting comfortable and seems to love me to death.....who's dog is this again?  Ha!  He is Precious!  I'll be in touch very soon!

Shelli
On  Tue 03/07/06 01:08 AM,  we received the following email from Shelli after asking her how Brody (see above) was doing and adjusting to his new home and family. I also let her know we had put up a photo for her:

  Hi Dee!

Brody is doing great.  He is still as sweet as ever, and he is getting used to his surroundings and feeling more confident.  My kids, my husband and I just love him!  He and my poodle are not getting along great yet, but they are figuring each other out still.  We are really working hard to play with them both and help to ease any anxiety.  He is just being a puppy and wants to do the nip thing, but she sees it as an "attack" and gets really scared.  She has a really sweet personality and loves to play, so I know it will work out.  I am going to get online today and see if I can get any good tips about making this easier.

He does his business EVERY time we take him out and has only had a couple of accidents.  We are crating him at night...he doesn't love that, but it works.  We are getting up with him every 2 hours and will change to three hours soon.  It has been a long time since I have been a mommy to a baby! His vet appointment was good....no worms or anything.  He goes back in two weeks.

Again, he is as sweet as he can be.  I will send you an updated picture in a week or so, along with a thank you letter to put on your website.

We will keep in touch!  Thanks!

Shelli

Shelli,
Thanks for letting us know how Brody  is doing and we are glad he is getting a feel for his surroundings.  Your thank you letter has already been put up...see above! haha   Don't worry about your Toy Poodle and Brody getting along. She will sort him out and put him in his place but as he ages,  they will soon learn how to live with each other.  Brody is just being a puppy and exploring all the new cool things of your home...to include Cricket!haha

Date:   Mon 03/13/06 06:31 AM .........We received the following email from Sherrie who picked up the only dark apricot female in Jayda and Pierre's litter on Sat; 3-11-06:

"Hi Dee,

Just wanted to give you a quick update on Penny.  It is hard to believe how well she has settled into our family in just 2 short days.  She loves the children and they love her.  She is so smart.  She has already learned to "sit" and will even listen to the kids!  I will send photos soon.

Take care,

Sherrie"

*Dear Sherrie,
It doesn't surprise us in the least that Penny has settled in so nicely with your family and has already learned commands  in such a short amouht of time! Many people don't believe the information we put on our site about how great our Goldendoodles are, how fast they are to train and how smart they are....until they take one home with them, that is! Unfortunately, the naysayers over the internet tend to make some people Skeptical.........but we are glad when our customers keep in contact to prove those naysayers to be "incorrect".

Today,  March 17, 2006 we received this awesome card by our lovely "SHIRLEY".....a Lake Ridge Goldendoodle.

Subject:   Penny Update
Date:   Thu 03/23/06 05:58 AM

Dear Dee,

I just wanted to update you on our sweet Penny!  Here are some photos, the boys just adore her.  She is the sweetest thing.  She loves to snuggle and is a great lap-warmer.  She is working hard on potty training and will sleep all night in her kennel from about 11pm - 6 am without crying.  She is so smart.  At 8 1/2 weeks we have taught her come, sit, shake and yesterday she learned "speak"!  I cannot get over how smart she is.  No shedding!!!!!  It is amazing.  We took her to the vet - and she weighed 9.75 pounds (she is a good eater).  We had a little earwax - so we have started her on some ear cleaner. Other than a few puppy-nipping issues... it has been MUCH easier than I had thought.  The fence will be finished March 31st... but we don't even need it.  She stays right with us and will follow us around the yard tirelessly.  We have taught her not to go in the road.  Luckily, we live on a cul-de-sac with little or no traffic.  It is great for little boys and puppies!!

Take care... more updates to follow!!!  Please share this with anyone interested in her littermates - she is great puppy!
