We recently received these wonderful photos of Gracie.....she resides in North Carolina with her very loving family. They write:
"Hi Dee!,
Gracie is doing great!!! We took her to our vet today to be spayed. Also she got another round of vaccinations. This is April and she weighed in at 23.7 pounds today. She loves to be bathed (as you'll see in the pictures I've sent) and constantly plays with her two "sisters", Riley and Maggie.
They like to wrestle alot and chase each other in the back yard.
Gracie is very obedient! She can sit, stay, come and "go to bed"...lie down and understands the word "No". Dee, we are trying to predict her adult weight. If she's 23.7 pounds now, what do you think her adult weight will be?
Thanks so much for a wonderful, loving dog!
The Nole Family
Hi there and thanks so much for the great photos! I could be wrong, but she is half way to her adult weight and I believe she will be approx. 45 pounds.
Let me know on her first birthday as we are trying to keep track of these guys and see if our method of calculating their adult weight as puppies, is accurate. Give Gracie a hug for us!
Gracie is leggy at this stage, but her coat is still growing and she is getting fluffier by the day. Our doodles go through various growth and coat phases for the first year of their lives.
As the Nole family has witnessed, it is not uncommon for our Goldendoodles to absolutely LOVE being wet or playing in the water! This comes from their ancestry! Both the Golden Retriever and Standard Poodle were used for hunting sports and they absolutely love water!
Our Goldendoodles love being indoors and outdoors! They are very versatile dogs who are full of puppy antics...........demand attention (because that is all they know from us) and are very playful, outgoing and full of personality!!!!!! We always hear the same comments on how well they perform in puppy classes!
Meet Barkely....(we think that is what his new owners' said they were naming him.) He now resides in Florida with his new owners. He is a lovely apricot and we do hope that we will hear from them soon for update photos as he ages. This cute dude left us early April, 2005.
On 5-13-05 we received some great photos of Wrigley and the email reads:
"HI DEE AND EVERYONE AT LAKE RIDGE KENNEL.....
Chris and I are so very blessed and extremely happy to have our Goldendoodle "Wrigley" in our lives. We truely fell in love with her at first sight! We picked her up at the airport and gave her a bath when we came home.
She really enjoyed it! The next day we had to take her to the vet because while outside, she got stung by a bee and our vet had to take the stinger out! Wrigley was very brave! We are looking forward to taking her to special doggey places in San Diego after she gets all of her shots. She has already made alot of friends in our neighborhood and our friends come over just to see her.
After watching your site for two years, we were glad to be able to finally make a commitment to add a family pet to our home. We KNEW you were the one we wanted to get our Goldendoodle from.
Wrigley is very smart and quick to learn! She already knows her new mommy and daddy.....the words "treat", "leave it" and "fetch".
We look forward in adding another Goldendoodle to our family in the future! If you know of a doodle that will get along with our precious Wrigley, let us know! She is the most precious doodle in the world!!!
Love and Kindness,
Michelle, Chris and Wrigley Jane R.
Dear Michelle,
Thank you so much for sending photos to us of Wrigley! She will grow up to become a nice sized puppy! Keep us posted on her progress...we look forward in seeing her as an adult.
Any of our Goldendoodles will work out well for her...so when you are ready, just let us know!
Hugs to all,
Dee
On 5-20-05, we received this email from ANN:
" Hi Dee!
Thanks so much for allowing us to adopt our little Scotty Poo puppy! She has alot of personality at her young age........already intimidating the 3 cats and endearing herself to our Sheltie-Poo! She (so far) is fitting in very well....and my kids love her already. Thanks again! Ann
Hi Anne! Thanks for letting us know she is doing well and we look forard in seeing photos of her as she grows! Yes...she will be just a little girl! Approx. 8 pounds or so! She'll hold her own though around bigger dogs! Even cats.
Dee
On May 20th, 2005 we received this beautiful photo of Shirley...a Lake Ridge Goldendoodle. Shirley is now one year old. Her mommy, Eleanor wrote:
Hi Dee! This is Shirley's school picture!
I thought you would enjoy this. My friend wrote a poem called " a friend indeed"....
I will keep you updated on Shirley. I hope you enjoy the poem!
Eleanor
Hi Eleanor!
Thank you so much for letting me see how beautiful Shirley has become! I liked the poem so much that I have added it to our website! CLICK HERE to read it. Thanks so much for passing it on!
Hugs to you both!
Dee
On May 27th, 2005 we received the following email from "ZOE"....she is out of Mystee & Autumn's litter... Zoe writes:
"Hi Folks!
Just asked my dad to send you some pictures of me in my new home here in Urbana. I've found a new friend but he is kind of hard.....but he looks alot like my family back at Lake Ridge. I've taken a real shine to my new friend. I'm getting along very well and I am up to 29 pounds! I eat well and go for 3 mile walks every day! I even have found some gophers to chase....haven't caught any yet though. Oh, and our neighbor has a Border Collie and we get along great. She is trying to show me how to herd golf carts which is her favorite thing to do...but she actually has to stay hitched to a lead so she won't actually bite the golf carts. I hope all is well back in North Carolina..... Love, ZOE
Hello Zoe! Tell you new mommy & daddy thank you for sending photos of you and we absolutely LOVE your new friend....even though he/she can't talk back to ya! Your sister is still with us....can't figure out why there are so many people who have an "issue" adding an "older" puppy to their families..........doesn't make any sense to us at all.
But we are glad you are happy and enjoying your new family. All your cousins say hi!
On May 27th, 2005 we received this email from Robyn...she owns "Sophie" who was the smallest doodle from Rosie & Orlando's litter.
She weighed just 2 1/4 lb. at 8 weeks of age. Robyn writes:
"Dear Dee,
Now that Sophie is almost 5 months old, I thought it was time to give you an update. She is, without a doubt, the quintessential puppy! Absolutely precious, loving, well behaved (well most of the time) and VERY smart! She was spayed at 4 months, now weighs 16.8 pounds and has remained a beautiful creamy color. She is very fluffy and her coat is so soft that it is remarkable. I will send you a photo but it will have to be mailed as our digital camera is on the blink. She has got to be the most loved puppy...everyone wants to swoop her up to give her a squeeze. As you know, Jan and I get the "girls" together and we both are having so much fun with our precious pups. I am so glad that I found your web site!!!
Robyn
ps: I will send you proof of spaying when I send her photo.
Thank you Robyn for the update and we look forward in seeing how she has grown. Without a doubt, Sophie being just 16.8 lbs. at 5 months old is our smallest produced Goldendoodle since we began in 1999. I am very happy that we have achieved a small doodle like Sophie from an F1 breeding. (first generation). But I do want to say that it was only through breeding Rosie & Orlando together that we were able to produce such a small doodle and she WAS the only one in her litter that small. It is proof that no matter what size the parents are, hybrid offspring will NOT be consistant in sizes no matter how hard a breeder tries! We had ALL SIZES in their litter and we hope the others will keep in contact.
Meet FENWAY! This lovely male Goldendoodle is out of Juel's March, 19th, 2005 litter and left for his new home in Chicago, Ill on 6-17-05.
His new family writes:
"Hi Dee! Fenway made it!! YIPPEE!
He arrived in a dry crate....a bit timid at first, but he is a real cuddler now and full of curiosity! His first pee (a success). He did not eat lunch, but devoured dinner and is in great spirits.
He is right now sitting in the lap of my 12 year old as we wind down to watch a bit of TV.
Thank you so much for all that you have done!! He is a great addition to our family. (Please add us to your doodle map and list of references.)
Have a great weekend.
George
Hi George! Thank YOU so much for sending this beautiful photo so soon and for letting us know he made it safetly today! I am glad, too, that you got to meet his sister's new mommie at the same airport.
We will place you on the map as soon as we get a chance and we have added this great photo to our doodle store in case you desire to get a few items! We look forward to more pictures as you get them!
On 7-18-05, we received a very nice, long letter from R. Albrecht who owns one of Juel's Goldendoodle puppies. They also sent two beautiful photos of this lovely lass. The letter reads:
Dear Dee, I wanted to share with you the most recent photos of our "Muffin". As you may recall, my wife and I drove up late in May (2005) to pick up Muffin as you and your husband were preparing to go boating.
Muffin has been an outstanding dog! just perfect in every way. She is as smart as a whip and she is to start her training class. She sits up, she lies down, stays, etc; She even runs up to the delivery to bring in BOTH of our morning newspapers! With our visit to the vet yesterday, she weighs 21 pounds and she is just 5 days short of being 7 months old. Does this give you any indication of what her adult weight will be? Juel is her mother....we expected her to be small but she continues to grow quickly.
We had her face and feet trimmed up before these pictures as we were having a hard time seeing her eyes through all that hair! We are extremely pleased with our Goldendoodle as she is really a gem!!!!
Best regards,
R. Albrecht
Hi to everyone including MUFFIN! She is turning out to be simply gorgeous! Thank you so much for the lovely photos and this long, nice letter! We completely enjoy hearing from our doodle families and getting photos so that we can see how they grow as they age.
Hopefully Muffin will not get over 50 pounds....as with all hybrids, it does not matter what size the parents are. Puppies in any given litter can pick up their genes from their entire lineage...so we can only try and guesstimate as best we can. If she is altered (spayed), you must deduct at least 10 pounds to guess her true genetic weight when she turns one year of age. I would definitely like to know, what she weighs on her first birthday...so, we hope you will keep us posted.
Dee
Meet Triton!!! CLICK HERE to go to Triton's page.....He is a Lake Ridge Goldendoodle born to ROSIE AND ORLANDO on January 1, 2005.
Another classic example of how versatile our Goldendoodles are!
YOU SAY YOU WANT TO GO JET-SKIING????
NO PROBLEM, HAMMER!
Little Margo with her owner's boyfriend. Margo is one of our first Parti-colored Schnoodles and is simply adorable!
We thank you for sending these lovely photos!
All I can think of is : "AWWWWWWWWWWWW".
Our Little Tri-colored schnoodle...the last to go has left for his new home with the Greene family.
Buster will have lots of love and we look forward in seeing him as he grows.
The Fenwick family has taken their little apricot doodle girl home. She is out of Pierre and Ariel's litter. We look forward in seeing photos of her as she ages.
The Singer family has taken their little apricot doodle girl home. She is out of Pierre and Ariel's litter. We look forward in seeing photos of her as she ages.
On 8-4-05, we received an email from Tamera and these two lovely photos of the LhasaPoo female she purchased from us. She is simply adorable!!!
Tamera writes:
"Hi Dee,
I just wanted to send you a picture of my sweetie Mia!!
She is now 12 weeks old and just had her first trip to the groomers. Thanks so much! I really love her!!!
Tamera
Thank you Tamera for sending these lovely photos!
She is soooo adorable! I love the bow, too!
We look forward in watching her grow. We are glad that you are both very happy together.
Dee
Thank you Jan for sending this lovely photo of "Daisy".
She is one of our small Goldendoodles born to Rosebud and Orlando. I see that she is still going through her shedding phase and I'm glad to hear at 7 months, she weighs just 21 pounds! We don't expect her to get much bigger, as at 12 months she will be fully grown.
We are expecting even smaller doodles by Thanksgiving with a similar coat as Daisy's and definitely the same color.
Dee
Some of Saras' pups left on Saturday and Sunday...August 6th and 7th. We hope to see them as they grow!
"Paisley"...one of Sara's Goldendoodle pups (above and to the right) ....has gone home with the Trempe family in Maine. We thank them for sending us photos they took while at our home Saturday, August 6th, 2005 because I was too ill to meet with them and my husband forgot to take out the camera!
We look forward in seeing more photos of her as she grows!
8-11-05: Meet "LUKE".....he is a child from Joy and Scisco. M. Houston sent us this lovely photo and an email saying he is now 25 1/2" tall and weighs 98 pounds!!! Luke is now 2 years old. Of course, this is not genetic weight since he is neutered. M. Houston says that they are very interested in obtaining another doodle from us and that Luke is the joy of their life. She says she still believe he is the "best looking dog out there".
I think all of our Goldendoodles are some of the best looking doodles created.....no doubt about it!
8-12-05: Meet "Murphy"....up above is one of our sable Schnoodle pups that now resides in SC with his new family. Thank you so much to the "McGaughan" family for sending us these photos!
8-12-05: Special thanks to Ron and Jane for sending us these cute pictures of the American Cocker Spaniels they adopted from us several years ago. Indeed they absolutely LOVE being in their adopted home. We are very glad that Shea and Blondie get along so well.
8-14-05: By sunday, we had six families pick up their beautiful Goldendoodle puppies from Sara, Tory and Ariel's litters.
