Welcome to our Doodle Patch by Goldendoodle World
When Goldendoodles are born,  they very much look like purebred Golden Retrievers....even if they have twice the Poodle DNA. As they mature, their personalities take shape.  We watch them discover each other as siblings; we watch them bite each others' nose or pull each other around by the tail.  They paw each other and pretty much begin to learn to assert themselves amongst littermates. In all litters, we will see the one who sits back and cries when the others bully them; We see the ones doing the bullying and just as parents must do with children,  we have to reprimand them for playing too rough or being "naughty".

Our Goldendoodles are very playful as young puppies and of course as they mature, their personalities will depend upon where they are raised and by whom.  The one thing we have noticed with our Goldendoodles is the difference in personalities between doodles who have twice the Poodle and doodles that have more Golden Retriever traits.  I myself am a Golden Retriever fan, so my opinions here are basically my own and don't represent the doodle as a whole. Perhaps some doodle breeders have not seen a difference in personalitie based on their DNA structure, but we have.  We have come to know that Goldendoodles with twice the Poodle are not as stranger friendly; do not always work out for families with young children and can be a bit 'quirky' in how they behave around people they are not familar with.
The majority of our Goldendoodles are very family oriented and make terrific pets for children of any age. Sometimes we will hear that a doodle or two has a "quirky" personality but we never know if its the dog or the owners who have made their doodle behave in such a way.  Since 1999, we've had few complaints about the personalities and temperaments of our Goldendoodles. We can actually count on one hand those who have said the doodle didn't work out for their family.  90% of our Goldendoodles are apricot in color; have a full facial beard as an adult and a beautiful thick plume tail. 5% of our doodles can be cream in color or have characteristics in coat type, mannerisms, body structure and personality as that of a purebred Poodle.  This includes their sometimes quirky behavior.  The other 5% of our doodles can sometimes have beautiful, striking blue, green or multi colored eyes; coat type as that of a purebred Golden Retriever to include being void of a facial beard and having characteristics as that of a retriever.
We don't like to have rehoming issues with our Goldendoodles....mainly because we put so much time and money into them that they deserve to have a lasting, loving, permanent home as much as possible.  We are aware that sometimes situations come up that are beyond control.  When and if this occurs,  we do try and assist the buyer as much as possible but too many people believe that a breeder is responsible for every issue that may come up that involves the dog they helped bring into this world and that is a wrong assumption to have.  Buyers must take the responsibility for the dogs that they purchase.
This means that if you are buying a doodle for your child or your children, understand that your children may SAY they will take care of the dog you have just purchased for the entire family....but the novelty wears off when a child realizes they have to get up in the wee hours of the morning to take their pet out to go potty;  that their pet requires to be fed, walked, bathed and actually taken care of.  A pet is a huge responsibility for a child.  Parents MUST KNOW they have to become responsible for the new pet when the novelty wears off with the children.  Parents should have their children read as much as possible about taking care of their pet. With children, they only think of the fun times they will have with their new pet....they don't think about the required  responsibilities. We highly discourage parents from buying a pet for a toddler.  There is no way a very young child can learn how to properly care for one of our Goldendoodle dogs.
Our Goldendoodles are hand-raised.  Each and every one of them!  All of our Goldendoodles (and other type of pups) are raised indoors.  Their environment is heat/air controlled and they actually have high definition colored, cable television to watch and listen to. Our older doodles are use to going outside, once they have had all of their puppy vaccinations.
An enormous amount of time and  money is dedicated to the care of all of our puppies we offer for sale to the general public. We don't proclaim to be perfect......there is no such thing as a perfect breeder....but we do as much as possible to ensure that those seeking a high quality pet, receives just that!  We offer a genetic health warranty for any purchased pet for as long as six years! We also offer a variety of amenities for their doodle if the customer desires to purchase them.
Every family leaves our home not only with a gift that keeps on giving, but they also leave our home with a binder full of information so that they can learn how to take care of the pet they just purchased.
We are asked repeatedly if Goldendoodles are "non-shedding" dogs.  No, they are not, to be honest.  However!  Goldendoodles are very low shedding dogs so long as they have been created properly.  What do we mean when we say this?  People who are not experienced with the Goldendoodle hybrid, believe that those who have more Poodle DNA are less shedding.  Not true!  All Goldendoodles are low shedding regardless of how much or how little Poodle is in their DNA structure.  The first generation doodle is the best combination.  What is a first generation Goldendoodle?  Well, many people get this part wrong as well because they don't unerstand what a first generation Goldendoodle is.  When the term "First generation" is used for a Goldendoodle,  it means that the dog was created by parents who are not closely related or who are not related at all.  First generation does NOT mean the dog was created by two seperate breed types.  A Goldendoodle bred to a Poodle who is NOT CLOSELY  related to the Poodle within the Goldendoodles' DNA structure IS A FIRST GENERATION Goldendoodle.  If the breeder has bred a Goldendoodle to a Poodle who is closely related to the Poodle within the Goldendoodle parent dog, that dog is an F1B (meaning second generation, backbred dog...ie...inbred.).  If two people had children together and they were related to each other, their children would be "f1B" children....ie...backbred/inbred children. Just because a Poodle is bred to a Goldendoodle does NOT mean the offspring is second generation or deemed an "f1b".
Breeders who claim their doodles are non-shedding; hypo-allergenic; have rare markings or rare colors are who call them "Miniature Goldendoodles" when they mean that the dog is actually going to be a 40 pound dog, are very inexperienced breeders.  Dee Gerrish of Goldendoodle World has created Goldendoodles since 1999.  Dee is a SearchWarp.com winning, founding, top 100, featured author and has written numerous, popular Goldendoodle articles that can be located all across the internet.  Her research regarding the Goldendoodle dog is quite extensive to include having documented and photographed the multiple coat changes each Goldendoodle goes through from birth to the age of one year.  Goldendoodle World has a very large list of happy doodle families.
