A memorial for Wrigley

Dear Wrigley,

I remember the day you were born. Helping your mother make your entrance into the world. I remember your first breath....your first cry and every day that you continued to grow and become ready for your new family.

You were such a spunky puppy....so cuddly and fluffy and I couldn't wait for your new family to see you for the first time. I knew they would love you just as much as I did.

I was very happy when your new children sent us a christmas card showing how beautifully you were growing. Your children look so happy with you and our hearts swelled with pride.

As I had expected, you became everyone's friend! It didn't matter how big you were....you were a gentle soul.

Your family adored you....were proud of you and I don't think you ever met a stranger who didn't immediately like you! Knowing that you were so easy to love also made me proud because your mommie and daddy are terrific dogs who also have the same qualities and I was very happy to know that the apple didn't fall too far from the tree.

Wrigley,

not only do we miss you but your family misses you too. We were very sorry to hear that you left us so unexpectedly.....but we know that you will find some great friends on the other side...in doggie heaven.

Your personality....your gentleness, kindness and funny character will be sorely missed by those who were lucky enough to befriend you.

For sure, your life made a deep impact on those who loved you. We know that your life here on earth made a difference even if it was for just four short years.

We want you to know that your family will always cherish their memories of your loving grace. Happy memories that are forever engraved upon their hearts. We too love you and say good bye to you through this memorial.

Although it was painful to hear that you suddenly and unexpectedly left this world for reasons unknown, we know that God will embrace your soul and love you just as you were loved here on earth. You may be gone from this earth, my friend....but you will never be forgotten.
