In 1996, Dee Gerrish became a private, hobby breeder. Both Dee and Mike Gerrish are prior military. Both were stationed as soldiers, in Mannheim, Germany. Goldendoodle World was founded in 1999. We are NOT a commercial breeder, back yard breeder, puppy mill, broker, hoarder or buncher. We are private, professional, hobby breeders who have only 1 to 4 litters of puppies a year. We DO NOT live off of the sales of puppies and dogs. The business of Breeding is very expensive and time consuming. Each and every year, costs continue to climb. We raise socially acceptable canine who enjoy receiving alot of attention. Some of our Goldendoodles have been featured in magazines. Our website has received many awards by various companies and other websites since 1996.
We are in good standing with our affiliated kennel club, UKCI, and we are the first breeder in the United States to register the Goldendoodle dog with an actual kennel club. Goldendoodle World follows a strict breeding plan in efforts to preserve the fine traits of the Goldendoodle dog. Dee Gerrish has researched, photographed, documented and written extensively about the Goldendoodle dog since 1999. Many authors, commercial businesses, including other breeders, use this website and Dee's personal photos, Goldendoodle articles for educational, commercial purposes. Some do so without our permission.
Unfortunately our business has been prayed upon and specifically targeted by an estranged family member all over the Internet, for many years now. This individual has gone so far as to photoshop pictures that belong to us and personally sending emails to our business associates and customer contacts. The extent of the malicious attacks and absurd fabricated content posted on multiple websites and dog forums across the Internet has been posted under various "user" names, but the content has been posted, as mind boggling as it seems, by one single individual who appears to be suffering from mental health issues. Due to the expenses and costs, we have been unable to sue this individual as of yet, in order to put a stop the harassment and personal attacks. We have contacted her local sheriff's department, but they fail to put a stop to it. We encourage anyone who has questions or concerns, should they stumble upon such content, to speak to us directly about it. We are very aware that the content is very disturbing and definitely malicious in nature. However, we also know what the truth is. We know the content is fabricated and holds absolutely no merit. We ourselves are disturbed at the posted content and know that the ranting attacks has absolutely nothing at all to do with our business or dogs. The rants and abusive content are personal attacks by the individual who has an obsession and fixation with us in general and our business. The disturbing content is meant as a smear campaign and meant to derail our business by those who are not aware of the internal family issues going on with this estranged family member. We do not understand this individual's mental health issues nor do we understand the anger, hostility, fixation and obsession. This individual lacks perception, is self absorbed, is very selfish and refuses to take responsibility for her actions. She is not a young child. She is nearly sixty years old. We have tried to ignore much of her abusive antics, but unfortunately we are nofitied every day by various individuals regarding her new postings and allegations. We are law abiding citizens who keep to ourselves. We have many facebook supporters (nearly 5000 and counting) and we do apologize to anyone who has had the misfortune of reading any of the absurd posted content of having been contacted by this individual. We hope you will not let such content sway your decision to join us. It is unfortunate we have to make light of the personal attacks being posted on the internet, but due to the nature of the attacks and fabricated content, along with stolen copied personal photos that are being photoshopped by this person, without our permission, we have had to publicly discuss this issue.
