I've had the hardest time sending pictures (we have hundreds) for reasons beyond explanation! I've decided to finally just email you anyway. Riley is the most lovable, smartest, loyal dog you can imagine. Born 10/10/02, he is now 80+ pounds and 26" tall. He can be willful when he chooses; he looks you in the eye and runs the other way....just because!
Having said that, this week he knowingly did something wrong and was reprimanded for it.....he voluntarily went to his "time-out place" and sulked until Sarah came home! His love, dedication and skill do outweigh his naughtiness. I won't brag about his tricks and commands, but he can fetch anything....many toys by name and description....ie...."get your red ball" and he loves to carry his toys in his mouth...then dribble a ball to our feet (of course any good golden could bring both in their mouth). He's strong as an ox and agile and graceful as a deer. He can jump 4 feet on a course. Sarah set up a small jumping course in the yard. Riley thinks in the Olympics!!!
He's a great swimmer, climbs a ladder on a lake dock and boat and loves to drift on a fraft in the water...(spoiled????)
Yes, he's spoiled in every way, but we love Riley. We've seen pictures of other doodles and really believe that Riley is the cutest ever!
His face is majestic and his body is hot! Of course we keep him pretty long because his hair is smooth, wavey and does not shed.
People agree that you can not buy a stuffed animal as cute as he is!
Love,
V., J., S. and all the kitties who love Riley too!
Sarah and Valerie picked Riley, out themselves before we implemented our strict purchase policy, from our home. Their first meeting was when Riley was 8 weeks old. This is Rileys' page and pictures will vary from different ages...from 8 weeks to present at nearly two years old (2004). Riley looked alot like a Golden Retriever...but don't let early looks fool ya! Even our doodles who have more Golden Retriever in their genetic make up, grow up to be quite beautiful, fluffy and shaggy in coat. Their coat can be shorter in length, but all have a shaggy look as an adult.
(2004) Riley, one of our past goldendoodle pups, will soon be two years old and as these pictures will prove, he is a loving, active part of his family. Riley is VERY healthy.....intelligent...loving.....a super friend to his family and their family is simply in doodle heaven at sharing their home with him. Below you will witness just how much this great and majestic doodle, created by our kennel, is a huge part of the Onderka family. We highly encourage other Doodle owners to participate in sharing their photos by mailing them to us. We will be happy to post your photos and comments or email info. Providing we have enough of your photos, we will create individual pages for doodles owned by our doodle families.
A great and warm THANK YOU to the Onderka family for sharing these wonderful times with us and to the internet world.
Riley completely enjoys lazing around in his home and sharing some quiet times with his kitty friends.
Riley actually fluffs his own pillows exactly how he likes them and then gets all cozy on his bed. He certainly IS a very spoiled doodle!
Rileys' coat still had the "shaggy" look prior to his haircut even though he did pick up a bit more Golden Retriever genes. These pictures show the great confirmation he has and this all comes from terrific genes our lineage produces.
Riley proves what we have stated all along! Our larger doodles are extremely versatile dogs! They love the water.....they love to swim....they love lazing around and they love outdoor activities!
Our Goldendoodles are happy and content to be where-ever YOU are!
Riley, a Lake Ridge Goldendoodle, absolutely loves and enjoys going boating with his family...but you can't expect EVERY doodle to enjoy such activities....you have to accustom your doodle to the very activities your family enjoys. We advise "baby steps" when teaching your doodle to enjoy car rides...boating trips....camping excursions and other "motion" activities. Some dogs can drool quite heavily and become nauseated from motion until they get use to it. We also advise NOT trucking around with your doodle inside of a crate. If your doodle is allowed to ride like the rest of the family, they can get use to motion easier than being inside of a crate.
No doubt about it, Riley is a wonderful example of what our larger doodles are all about. Sometimes our doodles look like the Italiano Spinone......many people mistake them for this breed since they do have similar characteristics in the face, ears & coat. There is quite a HUGE difference however in temperament, texture of coat and personality. The Italiano Spinone is bred for hunting and can be a tough cookie for its family if kept indoors without much activity. Our doodles are quite content to laze around as long as they know this is what you want them to do. Their mission in life is to PLEASE YOU and LOVE YOU!
YES! WE CRATE TRAIN OUR PUPPIES AT AN EARLY AGE AND WE RECOMMEND CRATING FOR SHORT PERIODS OF TIME. NEVER USE A CRATE AS A WAY TO HOUSE YOUR DOG FOR HOURS ON END.
All of our doodles that are shipped come with an airlines approved travel crate that is yours to keep.

Hi Dee,
Riley was born on 10/20/2002. His Sire is Sisco's Kid and Dam isHailey's Comet. He was a huge puppy when we took him home at 6weeks of age. He was almost 15 lbs. back then. He's now about 85-89 lbs. and 24 1/2 inchesat the withers. He's solid all over. He is possibly one of the most handsome dogs we've ever known and that's shared by many who know and meet him. Riley's personality contributes to his popularity. He's VERYsmart and clever too.
He lives for anyone's affection and talks to anyone who will listen. He sings too and tells us just what he wants such as when he wants to eat breakfast (every morning at 7:30 a.m.), go outside to potty, fetch his ball, or just that it's time for some pets and affection. Riley can find a ball in pitch dark from across an acre of yard! He's the brother Sarah Grace never had and he's a great companion for Jim who works from home....but there's no experience like "mommy's home"! Riley wags and shakes and leans and sings as if I'd been gone for a week, every single time I walk in the door. He swims and plays in the water tirelessly.
Riley will not get back on the boat until every person is out of the water. He loves to "rescue"kids by swimming them back to the boat ladder while they hold on tohis tail. We haven't gotten him on to the jet ski yet but there's always next summer. I'm attaching pictures that you're welcome to post on the website. I've seen it lately and it's great. It would be cool to see more +5 year old Lakeridge Doodles.

Dear Valerie and James,
I absolutely agree that more of our past customers should send us their photos and sing the praises of how great our Goldendoodles are. Riley is yet just another example of how terrific our Goldendoodles have been over the years. Thanks so much for sending me updated information and photos of Riley. We had not heard from you in a very long time and its nice to see how Riley has progressed. I see he is still lovin' swimming and boating! What a ham! We have enjoyed consistancy in the way our doodles look and Riley is just a small handful of very large doodles that we created. We will eventually attempt to create another litter of large doodles, but our average over the years, in size, has been 45 to 65 pounds. Riley will be six years old Oct. 29, 2008. We've been knocked, bounced, kicked and punched over the internet
by ruthless, jealous and spiteful people over the
years by people who have never purchased
from us, nor ever experienced the true gift
of love that our Goldendoodles enjoy sharing
with their families and people they meet. It's
quite unfortunate that the small few who are
jealous of our Goldendoodle sucess, go out of
their way to put our dogs and us down when
they have never even owned one. Your praises
only confirm what we've known all these years...
and that is that NO ONE has Goldendoodles
as great as ours....hands down.....Doodles that
come from our Goldendoodle World are the most
terrific dogs on the face of this planet!
Dee
