Hi Dee!
Happy 4th of July to you and all the doodles!!!  I wanted to update you on Ozzy, who was 1 year old on June 26.  He was from Pierre and Sarah's litter.  He weighs 69 pounds and is 26 inches tall!  He is so much fun!  He LOVES to swim, as you can tell from the pictures.  He lays on a float and swims around the pool like a person.   He is so obedient and the greatest dog ever!!  He has never shed at all.  We are so glad that we found you and you matched us with Ozzy!!!!
Have a safe holiday, and I will keep you updated on Ozzy!
Sincerely,
Janice, John, Michael, Brian, Courtney and Kerrigan
P.S.  Do you still breed Sarah?

Hi Dee,

As you can see from the attached photos...our little girl is growing up fast.  She has her 1st. obedience class tonight, & I expect her to do very well.  She is smart, eager to please, & enjoys the 'puppy training' that I have been taking her through at home.  Dixie is now sleeping through the night in her own bed (she has 'graduated' from the kennel which kept her confined) & there have been no nighttime accidents.  I am
so proud of her!!  I'm guessing that she has gained about 9 lbs..  Of course, she loves running & playing with our 2 Bichons (Remy & Chloe) & living in the Blue Ridge mountains is her idea of dog heaven. We love our little 'Doodle!!

Warmest regards, Marie

Dear Marie,
Thank you so much for the updated photos of Dixie! I see that she is in her lanky, scraggly phases! She is so adorable!  I call this stage the "Lanky, scraggly" phase because her puppy coat is still there just a bit and the adult coat is coming in making the coat shorter than what it will be when she grows up.  Our doodles' legs are long and lanky and so like a teenager in this growing phase, they look lanky!haha  By the time Dixie is 11 months old, she will blossom like a beautiful rose!  I am glad she is getting along great with your bichon.

Hi Dee,
Here are a couple of photos to show you how well Miya is adjusting to her new home.  Miya is out of Tory and Emerald's litter.  We just adore her!  Everything went very well with her vet check and she is adjusting to the kids just fine.

Thanks so much, Vanessa
Dear Marie,
Thank you so much for sending these two really cute photos of Miya!  How adorable is she in that baby bed????  Looks like she is being VERY SPOILED by both of your children! I am sure she is loving every minute of it!

We look forward in watching her and her other siblings grow to compare how they look at one year of age because as puppies...they are nearly identical in appearance and definitely have identical coloring and coat texture.  Keep us posted on her progress and we look forward to seeing updated photos as she grows and changes.

Our little goldendoodle loves to carry toys in her mouth
When our goldendoodle pups are still with us, we teach them several things.  First, to  "go potty" on newspaper to start the housebreaking training.....then "crate training" so that they become use to sleeping in the crate at night and then to "fetch" their toys.  Most of our Goldendoodles completely love to carry their toys in their mouths and they love to go after their toy and bring it back so you can throw it again!
Our goldendoodles enjoy carrying toys and playing "fetch".

HI Dee,
Just wanted to give you an update on Jasper. We have had him almost 2 weeks and he is getting bigger. The kids are having a great time with him and he is very cuddly and friendly. We are working on crate training and he definitely is going outside every time to potty but does have a few puddles occasionally on the inside. He loves to play and likes the dogs next door. Thanks for such a beautiful dog.

Here are some great pics!

Well, our little girl is officially 5 months old……seems like just yesterday when we got Ivy. J

Just wanted to pass along a few cute photos of Ivy with our son, Cody and a picture of Ivy with her cousin, Muffin.  Our son absolutely loves playing with both of them!  Mark’s parents are coming up again this weekend – so they’ll get to spend more time together.

When Ivy turns 6 months we’re going to have her spade.  I’ll send you a copy of the paperwork as well as her current weight, etc.

Hope your summer is going well!

Take Care!!

Does she and her cousin still favor each other?  Hope all is well with you and your family.
Thank you for keeping in touch.

You won't recognize my baby, she is so grown up already...
Can you believe that she will be a year old next month???
She weighs 54 pounds and she is still my "Devil Dog"!!!!
Never a dull moment with her, there is nothing that
she won't get herself into and she definitely keeps me on my toes.
Tasha has a mind of her own and the word "NO" means nothing to her.
She is really great personality and a terrific sense of humor.
Even when I get upset with her, she always makes me laugh...
Oliver and Tasha are still inseparable and she is almost a big as
him....

I love her so!!!
How could you not!!

Take Care Dee and next month you'll get more pictures from her
Birthday party!!

Tasha, a goldendoodle world doodle rests under the palm trees of Miami Florida
Dear Tasha and Maxine,
HAPPY WONDERFUL BIRTHDAY!  It looks like Tasha had a great day with her canine friends on the lake!  Thanks so much for keeping in touch and for continuing to send us photos as Tasha grows and develops. Some people don't believe us that the coat will change multiple times prior to a doodle's first birthday....and it's only when our customers continue to send photos that they are able to see those changes as they grow. A doodle must grow into their face because they all have a "beard" as an adult and their coat continues to vary from the time they are born until the day they turn 1 year old.  Regardless of which breeder someone selects their doodle from,  they will see all of these same phases and changes. That's just the coat life of a doodle! I appreciate all the photos that you send, Maxine, because it helps others to see the changes so that they can see that it's not just something we say....it happens to be a fact.

I know it is hard taking photos of these dogs!  With our pups, it's  near impossible. I have to take approx. 30 pics to get a couple of  good ones.  On Nov. 4th, we have a professional photog  coming to a feed store and I'm taking a couple of pups there to get some good photos.

With dogs, I've learned you almost always have to have a camera on  you just to try to  catch their antics.

Dee,
Here is a photo of Tucker from 5 days ago.  I know he has grown some more since then.  He is so cute and is filling out nicely. (He is out of Jasmin's litter and flew to his new family).
He’s gotten pretty spunky on us and is keeping us on our toes.  Housebreaking is going pretty well.  (Mom seems to be the only one who can “read” when he has to go outside.) :)  Any tips on getting him to stop nipping?  I’ve read a lot but, just thought you might have something to suggest.
Thanks so much for all the love and care you gave him.
Leslie Davis
Dear Leslie,  Thank you for such a cute photo of your kids and Tucker.  I'm glad to hear he is adjusting and doing well.
The nipping is how puppies play with each other and this is all in "puppy antics".  We recommend positive reinforcement training with liver treats and a firm "NO" when he nips.  Puppies do not know that it is not okay to do this to their human friends, when this is how they play with each other.  Therefore, each time he nips....a firm "NO" and you may try to place your hand gently over his mouth when you say "NO" and move his hand away from the nipped hand.  Some trainers say to replace the hand with a toy and using simple voice commands. There are some really good books on puppy training on amazon.com but you will also want to enter your puppy into basic obedience classes when he has had all of his puppy shots.  Taking him to puppy classes too soon can cause him to catch doggie colds and other germs. Basic obedience class not only trains the dog, but also helps train the owner with the dog.  We recommend it for all dog owners so they own the perfect family pet.  Some classes are offered at the local YMCA or some schools during summer recess offer obedience classes.  Check with your family vet to see if there are any trainers offering classes and when Tucker has had all of his puppy shots, he'll be ready to begin training.  Meanwhile, you can try what we mentioned up above.

Wanted to share a couple of pictures of Casey with you.... Hunter just loves her and she just loves him.... (actually she loves to aggravate him). I think she thinks they are exact siblings and she can pick on him all she wants... She has been the perfect addition to our family and Hunter is really looking forward to Christmas this year. He has already stated "this will be the best Christmas ever"!  She is definitely a "retriever". She loves to fetch the ball and loves water. One of these pictures was taken up in Sapphire Valley at the lake. She had the best time splashing the water and trying to then catch it in her mouth. Thank you so much for helping complete our Family!
Casey is white and She is such  a pretty little girl!. She weighs about 30 lbs at 8 months. Her parents were Sugar and Orlando (I believe he was an English Retriever). She is slated to be about 35 lbs..... She is right on track to be the perfect size for what we wanted. She is hilarious and loves to watch TV.... She and Hunter have a blast playing together.

I will send you the update at 1yr based on her weight and height. Her hair is very thick, straight and soft as can be.... I will keep the pictures going to you....

Thanks again... I hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving.

Dear Ashley,
Thank you for sending these two lovely photos of Casey and Hunter.  Although Casey appears to be solid white...she is actually cream in color.  I see the light golden hues on her legs and ears! LOL   Orlando is a white Golden Retriever but he is not an English Golden Retriever.  Some breeders use these terms to describe white Golden Retrievers...but the Kennel club just recognizes them as merely Golden Retrievers.  ;o)
I am glad that Casey is staying the size that you originally wanted!  She looks very happy and so does Hunter!  I hope your family has a very nice Thanksgiving!
