CANADIAN CANINE SHIPPING INFORMATION
GOLDENDOODLE WORLD
The following information is very important if you desire canine shipping to Toronto, Canada.  The information posted below may change as per Delta airline international requirements or country code changes.  The data provided on this page is valid as per March 3, 2010.

Shipping a canine to Canada can be a hassle; complicated and sometimes difficult.  If you reside in Toronto and desire to purchase your canine from a breeder who resides in the United States,  it would be less of a hassle to have the canine flown to Buffalo,  New York.

Shipping requirements are still the same as shipping anywhere within the United States.  A health certificate is necessary; a crate is necessary; current vaccinations are necessary, etc.

As of March, 3, 2010  Canada requires that all canine health certificates are dated within 72 hrs of arrival to Toronto.  A bill of sales must accompany the canine.  Airfare MUST be paid by the shipper at the time of dropping the canine off at the airport or Delta cargo.

Canada does have customs fees which will vary per providence. (Ask your local airport about these fees.).  We were told they can start at $35 but can be more, per providence area.

Bilinqual health certificates are not required at this time, to ship to Canada.

All airfare to Canada MUST be paid for BY THE SHIPPER.  There are NO C.O.D. shipments permitted by Delta airlines.  Therefore, we require all Canadian buyers to PREPAY slightly MORE than the price we are given by Delta so that the airfare is covered entirely.  IF it turns out the airfare is exactly what we were told by telephone, we will refund the buyer the difference from what they sent, to what the actual airfare fee is.

The Cargo facility closes around 4pm in Toronto.  However, canine can clear customs 24 hours a day.
If the canine arrives after 4pm,  the buyer will have to pick up clearance papers from the cargo facility and then drive approx. 20 minutes away to another facility to pick up the canine.  They will then be required to return back to the cargo facility to complete the transaction with their canine.

Personally speaking,  I feel it would be entirely less of a hassle to have your purchased pet flown to Buffalo, New York.

All lay overs are now no less than 2 hours for any canine, with Delta.   From Charlotte Douglas International,  any pet flown to Canada will lay over in Detroit, MI.  There is approx. a 3-4 hr layover, which can be very stressful for young puppies.

If we fly the canine to Buffalo, NY,  the canine would lay over for approx. 2 1/2 hrs in Atlanta, Ga and then depart on a connecting flight.  For now,  Delta has approx. several flights monday through friday going to Buffalo, NY.

For a canine in a medium sized kennel (100 kennel) and with a combined weight between 11-15 pounds,  the airfare is approx. $222.  Airfare anywhere within the United States is C.O.D.

*We are NOT responsible for actual airfare or the actual fees involved thru Delta airlines or any other airlines.  The buyer is responsible for paying any and all actual fees regarding airfare and airline requirements.

Please return to our Canine Shipping page to understand what fees we do charge regarding assisting the buyer with any canine shipping.
