On 9-24-03,  Whitney sent us these lovely pictures of  Lola- Bear.   She writes:

"Here is a picture of Lola and her other Goldendoodle friend, Willie  (willie is the lighter doodle) from Palm Springs, California.  Willie is the Goldendoodle who introduced us to the Goldendoodle (world) and made us want to get one.  I cannot believe Lola is probably going to get that big!  Lola and Willie are pals now.

Thanks,

Hi Whitney!
Thank you so much for this picture and the one below.  Lola sure has grown and she is cute as can be!
Compared to Willie, you really can see her apricot color coming out!  Willie looks very white.  I am not sure how much Willie weighs because you didn't say,  but he looks like he may have a poodle parent who is a "Royal Standard" and Lola will not be as large as the Royals,  or Willie, for that matter.  At least I don't think so!!!!   She is too young yet to know.....but please let me know when she turns 1 year old how much she weighs and how tall she is.  Usually the doodle is considered fully grown by 1 year of age.
Whatever they weigh on their 1st b'day is their genetic weight.  Anything after that is environmental as well as other factors such as lack of exercise....over-feeding, etc.   THANKS SO MUCH for keeping in contact and we look forward in hearing from you again!  PS: I LOVE ALL THE GREENERY IN YOUR AREA!
On 9-24-03,  Whitney sent us this  second lovely picture of  Lola- Bear with her Golden Retriever friend.    She writes:

"Here is a picture of Lola and her Golden Retriever "sister"  (not in the literal sense),  Gwyneth.  They are best friends.  They play every day together, snuggle, go for walks and go to doggy day care together two days a week.  We love Lola more than ever!  She is the GREATEST!!!!

Thanks,

Whitney

On Nov. 9, 2003...we received the following note from the LaMonica family.  They purchased a beautiful doodle boy out of Trixie's litter.
Mrs. LaMonica writes:  Hi Dee!  We decided to name the dog "deuce".  We figured since his number ended in double 002, it would be cute.  He's also our second dog so the whole two-deuce thing worked.
Things are going good.  We could live without the puppy chewing, but it doesn't last forever.  We hope all is well with you.  No developed pictures yet....soon!   Meg
Hi you guys and thanks for sending back some feed-back.  Yes, the puppy chewing can be lived without...but, like a little baby,  your guy is teething!  He wants to chew and knaw on everything and anything!haha
We can't wait to see some updated pictures....so, please, by all means keep in contact and we'd love to continue to hear from you!  Take care and happy holidays!

On Nov. 9, 2003...we received the following note from Mrs. Downer.   Their children selected the above puppy...they named her  "Sandy".
Mrs. Downer writes:  Dear Diane,
First of all, let me apologize for the condition of the contract...unfortunately, the dog "ate my homework!".
My daughter came running up to me yelling "MOM,  SANDY IS EATING SOMETHING AND I THINK IT'S IMPORTANT!".  I'm still not sure how she got it off the table.

Secondly, sorry it took so long to return this....I've been rying to get my printer to work so I could include pictures, but so far...no luck.  I'll send some when I get it working.
Our little doodle is "Sandy" and she is AWESOME.....just like you promised!  She's soooo smart!  We taught her to sit the first day home.  We've had a little trouble with the biting....really over-enthusiastic playing, but it hurts all the same.  We're making progress on curbing that, though and otherwise she's a joy!

THANKS FOR EVERYTHING!
Terri Downer
Hi Terri!
Sounds like your little girl is teething as well!  You have to remember your girl has very sharp puppy teeth and since she is teething....even YOUR hands feel good...to her, that is!  I saw this show once...awhile back...and the trainer suggested to place a toy into your puppy's mouth every time the puppy tried to chew on your fingers or hand.  Take a stuffed toy and get her attention with it to lure her away from the hands and fingers.  Supposedly that works.    Yes, our little doodles are soo incredibly smart and easy to train and they pick up on things very quickly.  I still get those naysayers, on occasion,  who want to try and test my patience by trying to suggest that a puppy has to be socialized and "temperament" tested in order to know what a puppy is going to turn out like.
Funny....we have been breeding the Goldendoodle since 1999 and every single doodle produced by our kennel acts the very same way and has extremely  the similar  intelligence level s.  All have been very smart; loving family pets eager to learn and eager to be the family's best friend!  They just don't come any better!  It's all about breeding dogs with great genes and all about showing our doodles how much we love them and care for them.  Any puppy with good genes, sound lineage and wonderful parents,  who is showered with love and only knows love..... is going to turn out to be extremely loving!  Please keep in contact and let us know how she continues to progress!

On Dec. 27, 2003...we received this very lovely Christmas card from "Tucker's" family.
Tucker is one of our cream goldendoodle pups from our April 2003 litter.  His mom is "Joy".....a lovely Golden Retriever dam.

Special thanks to the Lord family for sending this great picture!

On Dec. 26, 2003...we received some really nice pictures from the Galantich family;   "Meg" has gotten so big and beautiful!  She and her family look very happy!  Meg also sent us a really nice holiday greeting....see below.

The front of the card was beautifully drawn by Kelsey Galantich....one of Meg's owners.  She is very artistic!

Meg is such a great part of her family that she is even allowed to sit at the dining table!  Way to go, Meg!
She has a blast playing with the kids outside and her favorite thing to do is to slide down the slide with the kids!
Definitely shows promise of being great at agility!
Thanks so much to the Galantich family for sending in these lovely photos!  We absolutely LOVE to see how our doodles are growing!

Special thanks to the Springer family for submitting these two really cute pictures of Kirsten and Penelope!
Penelope is one of our doodle puppies that Kirsten picked out in 2003.   Kirsten is really cute decked out for her community parade and even took along her best pal,  Penelope!   The christmas photo is absolutely adorable!
Both are all ready for the holidas!   Thanks again so much!  We completely enjoy getting updates and photos of our doodles..........this is what it is all about!

On 1-13-04,  we received this cute letter regarding our doodles.

My mother doesn't quite understand my fanatical life with my doodles....but she wrote this comment:

"Then there was this lady,  a great dog lover, who installed a color TV with cable.....in her dog kennel so that her dogs could watch animal planet twenty four seven.
Also a stereo system just in case one of the animal shows included dancing  (Music is a must!).  This music thing could also work in her favor......drown out all the howling at nite,  so she could sleep.

Thanks mom for this hilarious comment,  however, while it is true that my pups and their moms get to watch animal planet 24/7.....the stereo system is actually a beautiful, bubbly Wurlitzer jukebox that my elder son sent to me for Christmas and it just so happens that my pups and their moms enjoy listening to channel 107.9;  I think this is because a guy named "Peezy"  (on the Matt & Ramona show) laughs so hysterically funny that it catches their attention as well as their curiosity.     But, hey......only the best will do for my pups and dogs!

TODAY IS YOUR BIRTHDAY!
2-8-04:   We received this adorable picture and card from Sonny & his companion, Cheryl.....Sonny writes:

Sonny writes:  "Just wanted to let you know that  I'm still very cute (as you can see) and a very happy boy!
