Our Feb. 2003 litter of doodles sired by Darby (our very sweet standard Poodle) and birthed by Queenie, continues to grow very quickly! So quickly that we have had to add this new page as a continuation in order to let everyone know how this litter is progressing! Continue to scroll down to view info and pictures!
We started Saturday, March 22, 2003 off with breakfast, a nice bath, slicker brush and blow dry!
Using Pantene shampoo & conditioner & warm water, we lathered up the girls.....fluffed out their coat after a good rub down with a thick towel and began blow drying the coat. Always brushing the coat with a small slicker brush forward and backwards while blow-drying on "warm"..never "hot". It's very important that your room is warm when bathing a puppy. Even if you are sweating in 80 degrees...the pup will shiver once wet and could catch a cold easily.
Saturday was a very nice, sunny day...so we headed outside with the girls! Oh! What's this?? A Kitty Kat! The girls had a ball playing with each other and running around in the grass. This was their first time outside!!! Everyone had to check out my shoes!

We've never seen this creature before...hmmm! They don't look like us, mom! What's up with this wall? Can't get over it....oh, well....let's check out the cat again!
The time has come for one of the girls to say "good-bye" and move to sunny Florida with Allan & Beth. Now for the "docile" test....can you say "We ALL enjoy getting our tummy rubbed?" Beth & Allan find that all the girls enjoy this part!
Beth gets a few snap shots of the girls and makes the tough selection of "Zoe". Beth & Allan make their decision and Zoe leaves for her new home. All are very happy.

Little boy Clark finally got to meet his new mommie & daddy and prepared to go with them to his new home in Gray Lakes, Ill. Tuesday turned out to be a very nice, happy & sunny day!
Darby is a very experienced sire who produces beautiful Goldendoodle babies. CLICK HERE to view his scrapbook of children. Many people see pictures of Darby and assume he is a doodle. He is a purebred, Standard Poodle who is solid white. Our Standard Poodles have an extensive background of ancestors who originate from Germany, Scandinavia, Switzerland, The United Kingdom, Canada and France. Their strongest genes come out of Germany. Our Standard Poodles have a much wider face than Poodles who have more French genes. Poodles who have a strong German link are smaller in size with a much wider head/face. This is a look that we favor over the long, narrow snout many Poodles have. Its all a matter of personal preference.
