Autumn is very old but as of this date, Apr. 2, 2011, he is still with us. In his younger days, he has sired some of the best Golden Retrievers and Goldendoodles for us. Both he and Gruffy, along with our great dams, are the backbone and the strength to our Goldendoodles' long history of superb intelligence, as well as easy going temperament. Since 1996, we've had great success with our Golden Retrievers and quality over all health, temperament and longevity. Trixie's mother was "Lake Ridge Angel of Mercy", whose mother was "Lake Ridge Twist O'Cinnamon", whose mother was "Jackson's Ginger". While Trixie is still with us, Angel, Cinnamon and Ginger have all crossed the rainbow bridge. Gidget, Trixie, Angel and Cinnamon were all born right here. Ginger was our founding dam back in 1996 for our Golden Retrievers. She, along with her daughters and their daughters remain the backbone to the Goldendoodles we produce and presently own. All of our Golden Retrievers are AKC/UKCI registered. Our Goldendoodles are UKCI registered with superb pedigrees that date back to the early 1930s.
ABOUT THE SIRE: Coda Bel Tor. He is a cream, shaggy coat Goldendoodle. Born here.
History: Coda was born 11-25-06
Coda's parents are J.B. Jouet (Pronounced Jo-AA) (Poodle) and Mike's Lil Nugget
(nickname Nugget) (Golden Retriever). By the way, both of Coda's parents were born on our premises as well.
Lake Ridge Mike's Lil Nugget's parents are Lake Ridge Autumn's Pride and Lake Ridge Twist O' Cinnamon. Lake Ridge Twist O' Cinnamon's parents were Jackson's Ginger and Gruffy. Coda's grandfather is Lake Ridge Autumn's Pride, who happens to be Gidget's father. There is enough variance of ancestors within the DNA throughout the lineage to not cause any genetic issues that we know of. Every dog listed here is and was extremely healthy and we have never had any issues with hip dysplasia or other genetic health issues with our Golden Retrievers or Poodles. Lake Ridge Autumn's Pride (1999) as well as Gruffy and Jackson's Ginger (1996) started it all for us as Golden Retriever breeders. They were the backbone and the strength of our Goldendoodles.
Our Golden Retrievers lineage comes out of Pekay Kennels that was founded by two women in the early 1960s. From what I was told years ago, they moved their kennel to Atlanta, Georgia. I do not know if the kennel is still around. I do know when I was researching the Pekay lineage, that for some reason, the lineage seemed to stop in the 70s. I was told that sometimes show breeders make buyers sign contracts that unless the dogs are placed in events, they can't be bred so perhaps that is why the pedigree suddenly ended. I really don't know what happened. However, I did find quite a few OFA champion utility dogs; companion dogs as well as master hunters down through the pedigree. Our Golden Retrievers have turned out to be some of the smartest, long lived, most intelligent and healthiest dogs we've ever owned and of course the kindest as well.
Our Poodles lineage has over 400 ofa champion pedigreed ancestors that comes out of Bel Tor, Wycliffe, Dassin and Eaton lines. Their lineage has Master Hunters, companion dogs, show dogs as well as many utility dogs that come out of Sweden, Germany, Canada and France. I spent 2 years researching the lineage of my Golden Retrievers and Poodles. I then submitted copies of the pedigrees to our affiliated kennel club. Our Goldendoodles' pedigrees are available to our customers for purchase, if they desire to know about their impressive lineage. Of course the general public is welcome to purchase copies to.
